Achoo

You know when you have just had one of those days? It all started out great, until I got out of bed and realized that I have the husband’s cold :(. Did morning flow from yogadownload, and realized that I have absolutely no flexibility in my back, gosh I didn’t know that bridge pose could be so hard!

Breakfast was the bottom of the container of stonybrook vanilla yogurt, oatmeal square, kashi sunshine puffs, and blackberries. Alongside was a mug of green tea in my favorite cup…

But it didn’t stick with me long…

I had the remainder of the container of baby mixed greens with olive oil and balsamic for lunch with a mug of butternut squash soup and sourdough. The soup was okay, but I really prefer Annie’s or Pacific Soups. YUM!

With two mints for dessert…

Dinner was salad, focacia bread, and strawberries. In the bowl is one of my all time favorites from growing up: steamed potatoes, carrots, and turkey sausage with just a bit of cracked pepper. Seriously Mom, I love this! The worst part is that I had this amazing dressing, Lighthouse blue cheese vinegarette! Absolutely the best dressing from a bottle I have tried. On my way to put it in the fridge I dropped it and the whole bottle shattered… yep it was brand new bottle too.  But Jax helped clean it up and then thanked me by sitting on my lap.  So cleaned that up…so disappointed…  It’s off from some dessert (yogurt, banana, chips, and chocolate syrup)and then nyquil and bedtime.

He loved the dressing too!

My First Day…

Yesterday I was home with the crummies in my tummy… and this morning I just couldn’t pull myself out of bed to work out…  but the alarm clock is already set for 5:20 to get my booty back in gear tomorrow.

Breakfast was yummy!  Peanut Butter and Banana toast with a cup of Zen green tea.  Discovering that my body is requiring me to eat breakfast lately…

Lunch was a BIG salad from Safeway (ate half), a chonga bagel from Starbucks and Earl Grey.

Nichole had baked tofu noodles and something coffeey.  (Apparently it was delish!)  Thanks for lunch today Nichole, you are truly an amazing friend. ❤

I got home from my all day teacher meeting (bleck) and was STARVING so I ate three fig newtons. march-4-008

march-4-0062My adventurous dinner included POM juice (cut with some water), a boca burger on ciabatta bread with kale chips from Kath Eats!  They were amazing!  Although I learned an important lesson: tear them into bite sized pieces.  Apparently the husband thinks that eating the larger pieces is “like eating a tree.” 😉  He agreed that the tree tasted nummy though!

The plan for this evening includes my first Power Yoga session from Yogadownload, and I am looking forward to it, and writing my packing list for my Seattle trip!  (T-15 days Mom:))  Also probably a tea cup of cookies and cream ice cream.  Good night all.

Hello World!

Hello all!  My name is Meg and I created this blog to follow my journey towards eating GOOD food and loosing weight.  Currently, I am not happy at all with my weight and experienced an Ah-Ha moment about two weeks ago.  I don’t even remember what was happening, but I took an honest look at my body and just wasn’t happy.  Since then I have been striving to eat well and exercise.   I have found inspiration in some online blogs and decided to try it out for myself.  I’m excited to see where this journey leads.  🙂

This is my very first blog, so I will be exploring more and more of what all I can do  as time goes on.  But I’m excited!
